About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Layover in Beijing (10 hours)

Hello,
I am an Algerian citizen, transiting through Beijing to join Kuala Lumpur (October 2024). My stay in Bejing will be around 10 hours.
Unfortunately, I found online some confusing information about the list of countries eligible for several transit visa types etc.. And therefore, I was unsure about the necessity of applying for transit visa or change my itenerary and so on.. :/

Could you please advise ? Really appreciate it :)
Cheers

Haris, since your Beijing layover is 10 hours long, you are definitely and undeniably eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. This is a rule that is valid for all the citizenship of this world.

If you plan to spend your layover airside (in transit area), you will just walk from one to the other gate and you will not be a subject of immigration and customs control. You will just cross a security check between the two gates.

Also, you do not have to fill out any kind of form or to fill any formality. You can start your journey with absolute peace of mind and you really do not need any kind of visa for this flight itinerary. Have a nice journey.
