Travelling by speed trains within China

I m planning to travel to China in June2025, visiting : Shanghai,Hangzhou,Nanjing, Chongging and Guangzhou for the duration of total 2weeks. I gonna flying in to Shanghai and out from Guangzhou. Within China i m planning to take High Speed Trains. Questions:
#1. Are speed trains operated within those cities?
#2. I m travelling with my wife and both of us are 70yrs of age, could you please recommend us the Routing and Type of Trains to take to make our trip more efficient and convenience?
#3.What matters should we pay special attention to when travelling by speed trains within China?

1. The cities are all connected by high speed trains. You can search for the real-time schedule here: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/china-trains/
2. The best route with shortest journey is Shanghai - Hangzhou - Nanjing - Chongqing - Guangzhou. It's a bit long from Nanjing to Chongqing by train, you may fly this section or return to Shanghai to fly.
3. Nothing special. If you will travel during holidays, just book the ticket early enough.

i come from so my english is bad,first these city have speed trains and id If you don't know how to do it, you can use a translator to ask people, people in China are very warm-hearted
