About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Auckland, New Zealand - Shanghai Pudong International Airport- speed train to HongKong West Kowloon

Hi, I am an Indonesian Passport holder, residing in New Zealand with a Permanent Residence Visa. I am planning to visit my aunt and uncle in Shanghai by air, staying in Shanghai for maximum 7 days, then by speed train, leaving Shanghai to Kowloon Hong Kong station, to visit another aunt, and stay in HK for maximum 5 days, then fly out to Indonesia. Am I eligible for 240 hours of free transit in China visa from third country ( If NZ is considered as a third country for me). Thank you. Looking forward to getting your reply soon, so I can book my air flight to Shanghai and train ticket to HK. Thank you so much.

Is Pudong or Hongqiao International Airport able to provide a free transit visa on arrival for 240hours? Or can only Pudong International Airport?

Yes, your itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you can buy your flight/train tickets with absolute peace of mind. You should just take care that your flight from New Zealand to Shanghai does not have a landing in Hong Kong of any kind. Have a nice visit to China.

Both Pudong and Hongqiao airports provide visa-free transit stamp. So don't worry and have a nice visit to China.
