About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Macau, Beijing, Hong Kong

I am currently studying in Hong Kong and want to get a 144 hour visa to visit Beijing.
Is it understood correctly that I can take the ferry to Macau, fly from Macau to Beijing and then fly back to Hong Kong?
I think that might be less of a hassle than to apply for the visa:)

Yes, you can do that, but you should have in mind that your flights Macau - Beijing and Beijing- Hong Kong have to be nonstop flights or in other words they cannot have any additional landing within mainland China of any kind.

Like this you will be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit valid for a wider Beijing area and you do not need any kind of visa. Also, I encourage you to use correct wording because this is not 144 hour visa, but 144 hour visa free transit, so there is no visa of any kind. I wish you a pleasant journey.
