About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travelling from NZ on a Turkish passport

Hi. We are New Zealand residents with Turkish passports and have just booked a flight on China Southern Airlines to Istanbul.

Our route is AKL -CAN - IST with a 7 hour layover in CAN. Are we correct in assuming that we can use the 24HR - TWOV option as we transiting through Guangzhou

Actually, you do not need any kind of visa because your layover in Guangzhou will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit.

Since your layover in Guangzhou is relatively short, you will just walk from one to the other gate and you will spend your time airside (in the transit area of the airport). Between the gates you will cross a security check, but you will not be a subject of immigration and customs inspections. Enjoy your journey.
