British travelling from Riyadh(KSA) to China

How do I apply for a tourist visa if I live in Riyadh? I am British with a British passport, but I work and live in Riyadh. Also I would like to visit multiple cities in China. How does that work? Can I just show that I have brought multi flight tickets, and the last flight ticket shows me heading out of China?
