visa free transit possible? what does china southerns note actually say?

Hi, thanks for a really informativ site. But the air company China Southern and makes me wondering.I will go:Singapore - Guangzhou Baiyun (21h stopover)Guangzhou Baiyun - Shenyang Taoxian (they call it a technical stop 2,5h) - FrankfurtChina Southern writs a note when booking. Note: 72-hour Visa-free Transit is not applicable for stop flights,Please ensure you hold a valid ID and the necessary visa.But do you think a can use 24h visa free transit in Guangzhou and in Shenyang? I do not know what will happen in Shenyang in the 2,5h. If we will change plane and need to get the bags an go in to the airport again (airside).

I can see where the problem is... Unfortunately, your itinerary requires a transit visa obtained in advance. You cannot use 24 hour visa free transit because your entire transit time calculated from your scheduled arrival in Guangzhou until your scheduled departure from Shenyang is longer than 24 hours because 21 + 2,5 + flight time on domestic flight between Guangzhou and Shenyang, obviously exceeds 24 hours. It is fine to have more stops within China when flying on 24 hour visa free transit, but you cannot exceed 24 hours. Your flight itinerary is doing exactly that.Also, you cannot use 72 & 144 hour visa free transit because those two schemes allow only one stop in China or better to say they do not allow a passenger to have two Chinese stops in a row. I'm sorry to be the one that has brought you these unpleasant news. So, if you want to retain this particular itinerary, you should obtain a Chinese transit visa in advance or simply scrap this itinerary in favor of an eligible one.
