About:Forbidden City

Tiananmen ticket

If I already got the forbidden City ticket, do I have to reserve the Tiananmen ticket to enter there? I have read somewhere that if I had the forbidden city ticket, I can enter the square without buying the ticket.

You don't need a reservation for the square if you do not enter through the square. You can enter forbidden city through the entrance at Donghua Gate, or buy a ticket of the Worker's Cultural Palace nearby upon arrival and then enter through Wumen near the exit of the cultural palace.
