Inquiry on Changing from Student Visa to Work Visa in China

I recently obtained a one-year student visa (X1) for China. However, in a month, I would like to change it to a work visa (Z visa), as a Chinese company is currently preparing the documents for my work permit application. I have a few questions regarding this process:

1. What is the procedure to change from a student visa to a work visa in China? Is it necessary to leave China and re-enter with the work visa, or can I change my visa status without leaving the country?
2. What potential difficulties might arise during this process? Are there specific documentation requirements or time constraints that could delay the transition?

I would appreciate any detailed information or guidance you could provide on these matters.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

1. I've seen an international student in China switching the X1 to a Z in China. But it depends on the case, and you need to consult the local exit and entry administration office.
2. Just make sure you have the labor contract and the work permit notice.
Health report and Non-criminal certificate are also needed.
