If my layover is not more than 8 hours at Guangzhou

Hi,

if I'm travelling from Lahore, Pakistan to Malaysia via Guangzhou airport and my layover is not more than 9 hours. Do I need 24 visa free transit considering the fact I don't intend to leave the airport??Thanks in Advance
