About:Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport

1.5 hour layover at Guangzhou

Hi, we are looking to travel from Singapore to Kunming with layover 1.5 hr at Guangzhou airport. Carrier is China southern.

1 is Singaporean, 1 is Malaysian - do we need apply visa?

At the Guangzhou airport, i saw that you mentioned the transit need to baggage claim. Are we not allowed to transit using the airside lane?

You two are both free of visa to stay in China for 15 days. If it's interline ticket, then you probably won't collect your baggage at Guangzhou Airport but at Kunming Airport. You need to contact the airlines to see if you enjoy the baggage check through service. And I'm afraid you cannot use the airside lane as you will go through the immigration.
