About:10-year China Visa for US and Canadian Citizens

Canadian Citizen with HKID and expired Mainland Travel Permit

I want to apply for a 10 year China visa. However, I have an active HKID and an expired Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macau Residents. Can I still apply for the 10 year China visa at the Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Toronto? Are there extra steps that I need to take? Thanks in advance.

I think you can apply as a Canadian citizen. For the extra steps and requirements, you need to consult the consular office of the embassy.

Actually, if you have a HKID, it should be easier to obtain a long-term Mainland Travel Permit.
