Day trip from Hong Kong to Shenzhen

Hello! I am holding Canadian passport and will go visit Hong Kong. During my stay I would like to go for a day trip to shenzhen and return back to Hong Kong. Can I get the VOA in shenzhen for a day trip in this case? Thank you very much

Yes, Canadian citizens are definitely eligible for 5 days Shenzhen VOA and the price is 130 CNY. It is expected that a payment is done in a cashless form, using your card. It will be up to you how long you will stay in Shenzhen. A day trip is totally acceptable as well.

You can use 3 border crossings and among them, Lo Wu (Luohu) - overland and Shekou - by boat are the most convenient.

You can return back to Hong Kong by taking any border crossing and any mean of transport, high speed train included.

No, you don't need a return ticket. If asked, although I do not expect that, you will just say that you will buy a train ticket at the moment when you decide to return back to Hong Kong.
