Unfortunately, you are not allowed to do that. Simply speaking, there is no through train service from mainland China to Macau, but a train stops just a couple of hundred meters from Macau, in Zhuhai. Not to elaborate further, you should be aware that your by far the best and safest option is to take a ferry (TurboJet) from Shekou port in Shenzhen to Macau.
In order to use this option you will buy your ferry ticket in advance, even before you depart from Taipei through TurboJet website and print it out and at had, ready to be presented to Chinese authorities upon landing in Guangzhou. You are informed that you will have to use exactly that ferry you have bought your ticket for.
Also, I encourage you to use correct terminology because this is not 144 hours visa, but 144 hour visa free transit, so there is no visa of any kind.
