How to be sure that airline will allow boarding at country of origin for this visa?
Our friends are New Zealanders. They were excited to travel from Korea to Shenzhen and to apply for this visa on arrival. We showed them this article. They made sure their flight would arrive in Shenzhen airport within office hours (9-5). They had their return flight out of Shenzhen airport within 5 days. However Korean Air denied them boarding as they had never heard of this 5 day visa. They insisted that the transit visa ( leaving to a third country) was the only option available to them. The airline even phoned Shenzhen airport. So please check with the airline in your country of origin first before trying this. Our friends lost a lot of money from their cancelled flights and hotels for 4 people. Not to mention a lot of stress and disappointment.
