About:Visa on Arrival

Brazilian passport holder, HK permanent resident

I am planning to spend two days in Shenzhen with my two kids, 8 and 9 years old. We have permanent residency ID in HK, and I have seen the single entry 24 hours visa upon arrival, but I would need longer than 24 hours. Is there such possibility?

Actually, you cannot enter to Shenzhen from Hong Kong based on 24 or any other visa free transit scheme. Simply speaking, this is not a transit, but a return trip, so not eligible for any kind of visa free transit scheme. However, you can visit Shenzhen, but by applying for 5 days Shenzhen visa on arrival that you can obtain at the border crossing. The best border crossing is Shekou in Shenzhen that you can reach by taking the first morning ferry from Hong Kong directly to Shekou port in Shenzhen. In your case, the major drawback is the price for Brazilian citizens that amounts to 985 CNY per person because of the reciprocity between the two countries.Having in mind all these details, you will bring your decision whether to proceed with your plans or not.
