UK-Shanghai-Japan-Shanghai-UK

Hello,

My family and I (2 adults, 4 children ages 20, 19, 13, 10) are flying from the UK to Shanghai arriving on 18 Jul 24. We'll stay in Shanghai from 0755/18 Jul 24 until 1600/21 Jul 24 embarking on a 7-day cruise to Japan and disembarking back in Shanghai at 0700/28 Jul 24. We will fly home to the UK the morning of 28 Jul 24.

We should be able to use the 144-hour free visa but need confirmation it's okay to do so. Can you please advise if this plan is okay?
