About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

144 visa and leaving to HK by train

If I arrive to Guangzhou by air and apply for the 144 hr visa free transit, could I use the speed train from Guangzhou to HK to exit?

No, it is not allowed. You can only exit by air or ferry from Nansha or Guangzhou Port, Nansha Port, Lianhuashan port, or Shekou Port. It also requires you to hold ferry tickets or flight tickets when arriving at Guangzhou Airport.
