About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Ferry Hong Kong to Shekou,Shenzhen at 8th March, leaving from Beijing 18th 00:10 to Singapore

hi, I am Indonesia citizen, which is on the list of eligible country for 240 hour Free Visa.
I planned to visit China next year using 240 hours visa free policy,
Entering from Hong Kong to Shenzhen by Ferry to Shekou port at 8th March 2026.
(actually prefer to use train from Hong Kong to Shenzhen, but read somewhere it is not eligible).
will visit Shenzhen - Guangzhou - Shanghai - Beijing during trip.
Leaving China from Beijing to Singapore flight on 18th March 2026.
1. Can i arrive from Shenzhen and depart from Beijing?
2. 8th March to 18 March (flight scheduled 00:10 on 18 March) is still counted as 240 hours right?

Your entire itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa.

- It is true that taking a train from Hong Kong to mainland China is not eligible under 240 hour visa free transit, so taking a ferry from Hong Kong to Shekou (in Shenzhen) or to Nansha (a port located south from Guangzhou and connected to it by metro line 4) is the way to go.
- You can perform the itinerary you have planned without any doubt. It is perfectly fine to enter mainland China in Shenzhen and exit from Beijing. You should just take care that your flight from Beijing to Singapore does not have a landing in Hong Kong of any kind.
- Your dates are fine because the day of entry is not counted against your 10 available days. So, your 10th day will be March 18 because your scheduled departure will be on 00:10. It is counted as day 10 regardless of only 10 minutes, but still and thanks to the fact that the day of entry is not counted, you are perfectly in line with all the rules of 240 hour visa free transit.
