qualify for 24h visa free transit

Question

18 hr layover in Beijing Daxing from 2pm to 9am the following morning.I am an Irish citizen travelling London - Beijing (18h) - Hong Kong. I have a shorter 3h layover at Daxing on my return to from Hong Kong to London so will not require a visa transfer on the way back.I would like to leave the airport and stay in the city overnight on my i - will I qualify for the 24h visa free transit?

Both your journeys will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit. Here is what you should do:- Print out your flight tickets and your hotel booking confirmation and have those documents at hand. You do not want to do that for your return journey because you will remain airside (in the transit zone)- Upon landing in Beijing you will immediately approach transit counter where you will apply for a temporary entry permit by presenting those printouts. This application is more a formality and is free of charge.- When your permit is granted, you will cross the immigration and continue to enjoy your time on your own, having a good night rest included- You will return on time at the airport for your flight back home.That's it
