About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

24h transit for syrian citizen

I'm a syrian citizen. Do I need a chinese visa for my flight from Geneve-Shanghai-Tokyo? The stop is 3 hours

You do not need any kind of visa because your itinerary will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit in Shanghai. If you have bought your journey as a single ticket (single booking) you do not have to perform any formality nor will you fill out any forms. Also, you will not be a subject of immigration and customs inspections. Basically, you will just walk from one to the other gate and between them you will just encounter a security check (metal detector...). In reality, you will experience a non eventful transit in Shanghai. Have a nice journey.
