About:Hainan 30-Day Visa-Free Access

Exit from OTHER Chinese cities???

Can someone please explain - if I enter Hainan I can get a 30 day visa? Stay a few days in Hainan and then travel to Chongqing for example and finally Shanghai and leave China from Shanghai? So after arriving in Hainan, getting the visa, stay a little, I am free to go elsewhere? No issues, no agent, etc?

No, it is not allowed! With the Hainan 30-day visa-free access, you can only stay in Hainan and you are not allowed to go to other Chinese mainland cities. If you want to visit other cities, you'd better obtain a Chinese visa in advance.
