Can I apply for the Shenzhen 5-Day Visa traveling from Hong Kong for one day?

I would like to travel to Shenzhen with a Hungarian Passport from Hong Kong for one day visit.
Can I apply for the 5-Day visa at the border before entering Shenzhen?

Yes, you definitely can. You will apply for a 5 days Shenzhen visa on arrival at one of three border crossings:

- Huanggang - overland
- Lo Wu (Luohu) - overland
- Shekou - arrivals by sea

If you decide to take Lo Wu crossing as majority does, then you are advised to be at the border crossing a bit earlier than the opening time at 09:00 because of the high demand and possible crowds. In any case, the most comfortable option is to take a ferry from Hong Kong to Shekou port in Shenzhen where you can obtain a visa on arrival. Please, just have in mind the fact about visa office opening hours. The price of visa for Hungarian citizens is 275 CNY.
