Going for 3weeks to HK landing in Shenzhen?

We want to spend 3 weeks in HK. Can we land to Shenzhen, ask for the 5day visa on arrival, go to HK to spend our 3 weeks and then go back to Shenzhen with the 5day visa to take our flight back?

Actually, you cannot do that because there is no 5 days visa on arrival at Shenzhen airport, but there is a solution based on 144 hour visa free transit. In other words, you can do the following:

- Before your departure to Shenzhen, you will buy a ferry ticket from Shekou port in Shenzhen to Hong Kong, print it out and have it at hand. You will buy it through CKS - Chu Kong Passnger transport company website
- Your stay in Shenzhen area has to be at least 24 hours and 1 minute to be eligible for 144 hour visa free transit.
- Your flight to Shenzhen is not allowed to have any additional landing of any kind within mainland China
- You will have to take exactly that ferry you have bought your tickets for.

When you are over with your stay in Hong Kong, you can reach Shenzhen by applying for 5 days Shenzhen visa at three dedicated visa offices at Huanggan, Lo Wu (Luohu) and Shekou border crossings. Please, just have in mind the opening hours of those visa offices. In any case, I suggest you to take a ferry and to use Shekou port because this is by far the most convenient. By the way, it is not possible to use a high speed train for this purpose.
