144-hour transit visa in Beijing

I have a question regarding the 144-hour transit visa in Beijing. I will only be staying in Beijing for three days and then I'm going to Japan afterward. Is it correct that the things you need to have to get a 144-hour transit visa are:

1. Valid passport issued by 53 countries mentioned above

2. A fully completed Arrival/Departure Card (including name, nationality, passport no., visa no., issuance place, flight no., purpose of visit, date of birth, gender)

3. An onward ticket with a confirmed seat is needed

PS. Will I need a Visa for a third country or region, if I don't need a Visa to go to Japan?

Hi, your understanding is right. As long as your itinerary is eligible, you don't need any visa for the third country.
