Hand carry cash to China

1. What is the hand carry cash amount permitted to bring into China per person? Can the person include children?
2. If the hand carry cash exceed the allowed maximum amount, how is the procedure to declare?
3. The declaration needs to be done prior flight or upon entering China?

1. Everyone can carry at most USD 5,000 or CNY20,000. Yes, it includes children.

2. Generally, if you take more than that, just declare it to the customs when entering China.
