Actually, there is no Shenzhen VOA at Shenzhen airport, unfortunately. The issue of Shenzhen VOA is limited to just two overland (Hunaggang and Lo Wu) and one sea border crossing (Shekou). However, you can enjoy visa free transit by taking a flight to Shenzhen from one and departing to some other country after a time you decide to spend in Guangdong province. For example, itinerary:
South Korea - Shenzhen - Vietnam
Is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit that is valid for the entire Guangdong province.
You can also exit from Shenzhen to Hong Kong or Macau, but in that case, you can only take ferry from Shekou port to either Hong Kong or Macau. You should have in mind that you will have to buy your ferry ticket through either CKS - Chu Kong Passenger Transport Company for Hong Kong or TurboJet for Macau, even before your departure from Korea and have it at hand as a hard copy. Also, you will have to take exactly that ferry you have bought your ticket for.
