Voa after regular visa

If I first travel in China with a regular tourist single-entry visa, then go to Hong Kong for a day trip, and then want to go to Shenzhen, is it possible to get the Shenzhen VOA?

Yes, it is possible. Your regular (full) visa will expire at the moment when you exit mainland China and enter Hong Kong. After that you should just wait for one night in Hong Kong in order to enter on another date relative to your date of exit. This is also practical because the opening hours of visa offices are just until 16:30. Please, have in mind that you should be at the border crossing early, preferably a bit before the opening hour at 09:00 in order to get in the daily quota. Also, you can take a ferry from Hong Kong to Shekou in Shenzhen and obtain a Shenzhen VOA there. If you decide for the later option, you should just have in mind the opening hours of Shekou visa office: 9:00 - 13:00 & 14:30 - 16:30. The price for Finnish citizens is 275 CNY.
