Can I buy the high speed train ticket to Hohhot at Beijing Railway on the day of departure or need to book advance? How many trips are there in a day to Hohhot.

Just wonder is there any high speed train from Beijing Airport to Hohhot?

Yes, you can book on the day of departure but it is better to book in advance in case of ticket sold out. Generally, there are about 20 departures of high speed trains between Beijing Qinghe Railway Station and Hohhot East Railway Station.

There is no direct bullet trains from Beijing Airport to Hohhot and you need to depart from Qinghe Station or Beijing North Railway Station.

Am I right that we can also take the high speed train from Beijing North Railway Station too? Any difference if we go to Hohhot Railway Station instead of Hohhot East Railway Station. Which is better?

Yes, you can take trains from Beijing North and to Hohhot Railway Station. The largest difference is Qinghe Station and Hohhot East have more trains and schedules.
