Guangzhou 144 hours visa free transit permit

Hi, for Australian citizen travelling from Kuala Lumpur - Guangzhou by plane, stay in Guangzhou province for less than 144hours and then leave for HK by train, am I eligible for the 144-hour visa free transit permit? Thanks
