About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

German passport holder

Hi, I am flying from Frankfurt to Manila via Peking. I have a transit time of 13 hours (arriving 6 am and departing 7pm) so without overnight stay. I have heard that people only get the 24hr visa if they have an address where they will be staying. Is this correct? Or do I need to spend at least one night?

You are definitely eligible for the 24-hour visa-free transit. And it is possible to get a temporary entry permit at the airport counter to get out the airport. There is no need to stay over.
