Now, it is important to know if you are eligible for visa free transit based on your itinerary. For example, your itinerary has to look like this:
Country (territory) A - China B - country (territory) C
In other words, the country or territory immediately before Shanghai has to be different than country or territory immediately after Shanghai in order to travel through Shanghai visa free based on 24 hour visa free transit. Just for example, these are some examples of eligible itineraries:
