About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Ship docks at two ports but I only disembark at one

Our cruise will call at Tianjin and Shanghai for a few hours each, then on to Hong Kong. If I stay on board at Tianjin can I visit Shanghai on a free visa?

Wendy, if the total time in mainland China is nor more than 24 hours, you don't need a visa. Otherwise, a visa is required even if you stay on board. Please contact the cruise company to confirm this.
