Approval dates for visa

My daughter is going to teach English so applying for Z visa. She has been told to apply for an express visa. So that says 2 working days. If her appointment is Monday morning will she get approval on Wednesday or Thursday? Trying to book flight to be ready for her to go as soon as visa is issued

If the application is received before 12:00 on Monday, she may get the visa on Wednesday. But for peace of mind, buy the flight ticket after the application is received. The staff will give her a collection receipt, on which the date to pick up the visa will be stated.

Thanks Fiona, a really quick answer - much appreciated! The visa form asks for the flight details going into China. So we can't confirm the details until the visa is submitted to get the date, but equally can't submit unless we put the flight details on the form. Therefore we will assume a flight and book it once visa date confirmed. Is that a reasonable stance or will they check the flight is booked in advance?

Hi, Ian, you can offer a flight reservation without payment for a visa application.
