About:China Family Reunion Visa

Q1 visa

Hi, my partner is working in china (south African) and we have a son 6 months old. my question is , Can I apply for a Q1 visa together with my son ? We are not yet married. But my son has his surname on birth certificate. Thanks for the answer in advance.

Since your partner does not have a permanent China resident permit, you two are not eligible for Q visa. You may try to apply for S visas. Even though, since you don't have a marriage certificate, the possibility of being rejected is high.
