About:China Visa on Arrival

Australian Passport Holder - Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen Early Morning?

I am an Australian citizen landing in Hong Kong airport at 5:30am. I was hoping to head straight from HKG to Shenzhen. Do you know if it is possible to get a VOA at the border before 9am?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The opening hours of Shekou Shenzhen visa office are sharp: 9:00 - 13:00 & 14:30 - 16:30. I know it is not convenient in your case, but you will be at least, among the first that will be granted a Shenzhen VOA. The first ferry from Hong Kong arrives at 10:00, so you will not have to queue with them and they are usually quite numerous.
