About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Time for 144 hour visa arriving Guangzhou

Hi, I just wanted to confirm that if I am flying into Guangzhou from Sydney 11/8 @ 5am and flying out on 17/8 in the evening that this meets the requirements. Flying onto Hanoi on 17/8. Just nervous as have read everywhere that visa starts day after arrival which would be 00.00 on 12/8 but wanted to confirm as have also read that different airports have different rules. Thank you.

You have perfectly understood the rules and the timings. Your whole itinerary, along with the dates and times is eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in entire Guangdong province. Please, just have in mind to use correct terminology because this is 144 hour visa free transit and not 144 hour visa, so there is no any kind of visa at all :)
