About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

HK - Guangzhou - HK

Hello, I'm an Italian passport holder travelling to Hong Kong for a week.
I want to go for a day-trip to Guangzhou from HK, do I need to apply for a visa in advance or I can do it at the borders?

There is no visa available at the border of Guangzhou. You need to apply for a visa in advance for a side trip from HK and then return.
