About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hong Kong - Guangzhou - Seoul

I am Korean and wanna take the flight from Hong Kong to Seoul through Guangzhou. Please advise if it is eligible for 144 hours visa free transit?
I don't need to apply visa before boarding, right?
