About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

If I need to stopover in Hong Kong before going to Shanghai, is it still 144-hour Visa-free Transit?

I plan to do this itinerary: Singapore - Shanghai - Hong Kong - Singapore, can I book flight on Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific Airways separately (all one way air ticket) or do I need a multi-city flight ticket from the same airline? If I require a multi-city flight ticket from the same airline, I can only book on Cathay Pacific Airways, I need to fly from Singapore, do a stop over in Hong Kong then fly to Shanghai as there is no direct flight, since there is a stop over, can I still do the 144 visa free in Shanghai?

Your route Singapore - Shanghai - Hong Kong is eligible for the visa-free transit and it does not matter you hold seperate tickets from different airlines.
