About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

Sydney -> Shanghai -> Singapore

Hi I will be flying from Sydney to Shanghai but will have a 3 hour layover at singapore airport on the way there. I will then stay in Shanghai for 3 days before flying to singapore and staying for 2 nights before flying back to Sydney. Will this be permitted? Thank you

It will not be permitted for visa-free transit, because your route of Singapore-Shanghai-Singapore is not a transit. You'll need a Chinese visa in advance to fly that itinerary.
