travel for cruise leaving out of hong kong

I will be traveling to hong kong to embark on a Celebrity cruise which is going to vietnam, thailand, and singapore. My flight is scheduled to arrive approx. 36 hours before the cruse is scheduled to depart (because I wanted to leave enough time to catch another flight if my original one is cancelled for some reason). Anyway, I am a US citizen, so do I need a visa? Also, I read something about having a passport with two photos. My passport only has one photo of me so is that true?
Thanks for the info.
Mark

Take it easy, in your case, you don't need a visa to enter HK and I haven't heard about two photos one passport or something like it.

I am in Shenzhen now. But I came through Hong Kong. Always easy into Hong Kong. However I needed an onward ticket from Hong Kong to leave the US. So I got a 12 dollar ticket from Hong Kong to Macau.
