About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Qn on 144 hour visa free to Guangzhou

Can I confirm that i qualify for 144 hours from Singapore to Guangzhou Baiyun airport? Reached on 26 Jun and free visa ends on 3 Jul 00:00? I will buy a ferry ticket to hk on 2 Jul and fly back Spore from hk.
I need to provide Singapore passport of 6 months validity, outboard ferry ticket. Do I need to show hotel reservation form or ask hotel to do anything? Also I understand I need to inform the air carrier of the 144 hour visa upon boarding plane - why? Is it because they need to provide us a special entry form?

You have to buy your ferry ticket from either Nansha (south from Guangzhou) or Shekou in Shenzhen to Hong Kong in advance, before you depart from Singapore. Also, you will have to print out your ferry ticket and to have it with you.

You will announce air carried about your intention to use 144 hour visa free transit at check-in time because you are expected to have a Chinese visa. So, to avoid that you are refused from boarding the flight, you will have to announce your intention to travel to Hong Kong via Guangzhou.

If you land in Guangzhou on June 26, you are allowed to stay in China visa free until July 2 untill 24:00... In other words, you are fine to depart from mainland China toward Hong Kong on July 2.

It is recommended to have an accommodation booking confimration at least for the first overnight.
