itinerary - HKG -> PEK -> ICN (13 May to 15 May)

Your itinerary, if it does not have any additional landing within mainland China, is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in wider Beijing area.

Also, you should keep in mind that this is not 144 hour transit visa, but 144 visa free transit. So, there is no visa at all.
