144 hour China Visa

Hi, can I travel Melbourne Hong Kong Shanghai London and qualify.

Yes, you can... The segment that is important is:

Hong Kong - Shanghai - London and if you do not have any additional landing within mainland China and if your flight Shanghai - London does not fly via Hong Kong, you are perfectly eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in wider Shanghai area.

Also, this is not a visa, but 144 visa free transit :)
