Hi, i am Indonesian, but last week when i applied for Shenzhen VOA there was Singaporean sit next to me. She said China visa exemption for Singaporean has already ended last year, so yes you need visa. Also if you come from HK, bring your covid test result (antigen/pcr) which show negative and within 48 hours. Dont repeat my mistake, i was not allowed to exit Hongkong border after exiting mrt station because of this and had to take one at HongKong community health center which is quite pricy (150HKD for PCR test which take 24hours, or 240HKD for express PCR which take 12 hours).
I asked the officer there, this PCR test result must be official one, so you cannot just bring DIY homekit antigen covid test. Need official report, but not limited from HK testing center, so it can be from your home country as long as within 48 hours.
But, if you have stayed in HongKong for 7days+ you dont need to show this covid test result. When I was there last week, the one that asking this test result was at HongKong side (after exiting LoWo mrt gate going into immigration check). After passed Hongkong immigration check, China part didn't even asked this Covid result, you just need to fill healt declaration form which you need to fill beforehand and the link can be found at Lowu MTR station before you exit gate.
