Thai passport holders are eligible in case if they have been granted a Chinese visa in the past. So, if you have an old (used) Chinese visa in your old or current passport and you can present it at the time of your application at the border crossing, your chances to be granted a Shenzhen visa are quite good.

Thank you very much for your insights.
What if I do not have a previous Chinese visa, would this still be applicable?

Thank you.

Definitely!

Old (used) Chinese visa is of great help. Anyway, you should be able to present it physically in your current or some old, expired passport at the time of your application.
