About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Indonesian passport stopover in xiamen

I plan to take a flight from Bali to Seoul via Xiamen using Xiamen Airlines and I will have 2 hours of stopover. I plan to stay at the airport while waiting for the next flight.

One source tells me that since there is no transfer area in Gaoqi airport so that I need transit visa.

Can you please confirm which one is true. Thanks

There is a list of citizenships that are not allowed to transit through Xiamen airport without a transit visa, but Indonesian citizens are not among them. So, you are definitely covered by 24 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. Anyway, you will have to be quite agile to perform a transfer from one to the other flight. A good detail is that you are flying by one company and I assume on a through (single) ticket. This will noticeably facilitate your transfer process. To conclude, you will be just fine.
