About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

144 hourse visa free

Hello, I would like to travel from Hong Kong to Guanzhou by bus and then from Guanzhou airport fly to Russia. Is this route eligible for 144 hours visa free programm?

No, unfortunately, your initial plan has to me somewhat modified.

In other words, the only way how you could become eligible for 144 hours visa free transit is to fly into Guangzhou. In other words, you will have to fly from Hong Kong to Guangzhou and from there to Russia.

If you do the things in this order, you will be eligible for 144 hours visa free transit in entire Guangdong province.

You should also have in mind that both of your flights, Hong Kong - Guangzhou and Guangzhou - Russia are not allowed to have any additional landing within mainland China!
