About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I plan to travel Singapore - Beijing - Manila. 5 days in between arrival and departure of Beijing.

1st leg Singapore-Beijing via Singapore Airlines (single ticket)
2nd leg Beijing- Manila via Philippines Airlines (single ticket)
Reason being Singapore Airlines does not have flight Beijing-Manila.
Do I qualify for 144 hours visa free entry in Beijing?

Patrick, your itinerary:

Singapore - Beijing -Manila

Is definitely eligible for 144 hours visa free transit in wider Beijing area. It is not important if you were traveling on a through or separate ticket(s) and also, it is irrelevant the reason why do you fly in this way. You flight itinerary (A - B - C) is all that matters.

By arriving in Beijing, you will be granted 144 hours visa free transit and you can spend this time in the way as you please.
